Hennadii Mykhailovych Pluzhnyk was a Ukrainian graphic artist. Born on April 2, 1941 in the city of Kryvyi Rih, he graduated in 1964 from the Dnipropetrovsk Art School, where he studied under M. Rodzin and M. Borovsky. In 1975, he graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, where he studied under A. Honcharov, V. Basov. His creative activity began in 1965. Starting in 1978, he participated in republic and international exhibitions. Pluzhnyk worked in the fields of easel graphics and painting in the genres of still life and landscape, in the technique of pastel and oil painting. Among his works are "Ingulska Bay", "Evening. Alyaud", "Cossack Levada", "Do Not Chop Down the Poplar", "Onion Happiness", "Breakfast in the Workshop", "Men's Conversation", and others. The artist's works are kept in art museums in Mykolaiv, Izmail, Mariupol, and Azov, and in private collections in the USA, Germany, Canada, and Turkey. He passed away in 2018.
