Roman Fedorovych Yefymenko was a Ukrainian Soviet graphic artist, illustrator, and poster artist. He was born on November 13, 1916 in the village of Klepaly, Putyvl district, Kursk province of the Russian Empire (now Sumy region, Ukraine). From 1947, he was a member of the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine, and from 1966, a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. A participant of World War II, he was captured in 1942, sent to Germany, and imprisoned in concentration camps. He was a participant in regional (since 1949), republic, all-Ukrainian, all-Union (starting in1960), and international (starting in 1975) art exhibitions. Yefymenko worked in the field of easel and book graphics and posters. His main works include "Buchenwald Cycle" (1944-1945), "From the Front-Line Album" (1947), "Self-Portrait" (1958), "Construction of the Komsomol Blast Furnace" (1960), "Morning" (1967), "Evening" (1965), and the poster "People, Remember!" (1965). Yefymenko died on February 3, 1996 in Donetsk. Some of his works are kept in the Donetsk Art Museum.
