Emmanuil (Monia) Abramovych Kaminskyi was a Ukrainian artist, painter, graphic artist, and member of the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine starting in 1963. Born on July 29, 1927 in Odesa, from 1946 to 1951 he studied at the Odesa Art College under Boris Ebers and Leonid Muchnyk. From 1951 to 1990, he worked at the Odesa Art and Production Plant. Kaminskyi worked in the field of easel painting and graphics. He created still lifes in the impressionistic style, painted a number of paintings on historical themes, and created graphic works in the pastel technique. He participated in all-Ukrainian and all-Union art exhibitions starting in 1951. Abroad, his works were exhibited in Varna, Genoa, and Baltimore. He had personal exhibitions in Odesa (1957, 1974, 1976, 2010 - posthumous) and Kyiv (1975). Among his works are "Still Life" (1954), "Spring" (1960), "Sons" (1971), "Peonies in May" (2001), "Lilac" (2005), and others. Kaminskyi's works are constantly sold at Ukrainian and world auctions, and are also stored in art and local history museums of Ukraine. The artist passed away on September 8, 2009 in Odesa.
