Volodymyr Andriiovych Korobov was a Ukrainian painter and a member of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Society of Artists from 1950 and the Union of Artists of Ukraine from 1960. Born on April 29, 1924 in the city of Artemivsk (now the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, Ukraine), he was a participant of World War II starting in 1941. From 1945-1950, he worked in Zaporizhzhia as an artist of "Dniprobud" and "Zaporizhaluminijbud". At the same time, from 1948-1950 he studied privately with A. Tokach. In the 1950s, he studied in the art studio of Mykola Pysanka. During the 1960s-1990s, Korobov worked at an art and industrial plant. He worked in the field of easel painting, crafting portraits, historical paintings, landscapes, and still lifes in a realistic style. Among his works are "In the Steppes of Ukraine" (1960), "From the Walls of Constantinople" (1964), "Old Tree" (1979), "Evening" (1988), and others. He participated in regional, all-Ukrainian, all-Union, and international exhibitions starting in 1950. His personal exhibitions were held in Zaporizhia (1984, 1994, posthumously: 2001, 2014). Some of the artist's works are kept in museums of Ukraine. He died on May 23, 2001 in Zaporizhia.
