Pavlo Mykhailovych Brozhol was a Ukrainian painter and a member of the Kharkiv organization of the Union of Soviet Artists of Ukraine from 1970. Born on May 10, 1933 in Kharkiv, he studied at the Kharkiv Art School from 1948-1953 under L. Fitilov, Yu. Bykov, and V. Zabashta. In 1954, he worked in commercial advertising; from 1955-1970, he worked in the Art Fund of the Ukrainian SSR; from 1970, he engaged in creative work. He worked in the field of easel painting. At the beginning of his career, Brozhol painted realistic portraits; in 1970-1980, he switched to the principles of non-conformism, developing the traditions of cubo-futurism. From 1960, he participated in regional, republic, and foreign exhibitions. His personal exhibitions were held in Tel Aviv (1990) and Kharkiv (1993, 1999, 2001). Among his works were "Northern Village" (1960), "1941st Year" (1966), "About Autumn" (1973), "Mirror" (1976), "Prayer" (1993), and others. He died in Kharkiv on May 2, 2004. Some of his works are kept in the Kharkiv Art Museum and other museums of Ukraine.
