Halyna Oleksandrivna Zubchenko-Pryshedko was a Ukrainian artist and public figure. Born in Kyiv in 1929, in 1944-1945, she studied at the Taras Shevchenko Republic Art School in Kyiv (under V.I. Bondarenko). In 1954, she entered the Kyiv State Art Institute (studying in the workshop of Oleksii Shovkunenko). From 1962, she devoted herself to the revival of Ukrainian monumental art. From 1965, she was a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 1967-1977, together with her husband Hryhorii Pryshedko, she worked on the monumental design of buildings in Zhdaniv (now Mariupol) and Kyiv. After her husband's death (1978), she continued working in monumental art. All her existing sketches and mosaic cardboards were transferred in 2010 to the Museum of the Sixties in Kyiv. In the 1980s and 1990s, she created paintings on Christian themes, as well as landscape watercolors. She participated in all-Union and republic exhibitions. She had 5 personal exhibitions. Among her works were the paintings "Hutsul Wedding" (1959), "Hutsul Still Life" (1962), "Kryvorivnya" (1992), "Pochaiv Mother of God" (1993), "Kyiv Region" (1997-1999), and many others. She died in Kyiv on August 4, 2000. The artist's works are kept in many museums of Ukraine.
