Alevtyna Yevhenivna Mordvinova is a Soviet graphic artist. Born in 1900 in the village of Orlov-Gai, Samara Province, she graduated from the Petrograd Institute of Extracurricular Education (the museum department), then graduated from the Petrograd State Art Workshops in 1926. She studied under K. Petrov-Vodkin and M. Dobuzhinskyi. Starting in 1925, she was a member of the circle "Masters of Analytical Art" (P. Filonov's school). A member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1934), she worked in the Children's Department of the GIZ (Leningrad) under the leadership of V. Lebedev. Her works are in museums in Russia and Ukraine. Mordvinova lived and worked in Leningrad and died in 1980.

In the center of the image there is a cargo ship on the yellow surface of the water. In front of it - a ribbon of timber being floated. Below the image, on the right there is the artist's signature and the date: ’62.
