Alevtyna Yevhenivna Mordvinova is a Soviet graphic artist. Born in 1900 in the village of Orlov-Gai, Samara Province, she graduated from the Petrograd Institute of Extracurricular Education (the museum department), then graduated from the Petrograd State Art Workshops in 1926. She studied under K. Petrov-Vodkin and M. Dobuzhinskyi. Starting in 1925, she was a member of the circle "Masters of Analytical Art" (P. Filonov's school). A member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1934), she worked in the Children's Department of the GIZ (Leningrad) under the leadership of V. Lebedev. Her works are in museums in Russia and Ukraine. Mordvinova lived and worked in Leningrad and died in 1980.

The full height of the graphic sheet is taken up by an image of a portal crane painted red. Behind it there are the outlines of two more lifting cranes. At the bottom, along the quay, two loaded trucks are moving. To the left, at the pier, a barge is being loaded.
