Oleksandr Petrovych Potypun was a Ukrainian artist. Born in 1901, he worked as an artist from the 1930s to the 1960s in the Mariupol Museum of Local Lore, creating new museum exhibitions and many paintings on the history of Mariupol. His creative output includes landscapes, as well as industrial landscapes that reflected construction in Mariupol. He was a participant in the art exhibition held by the newspaper "Pravda" in Mariupol in 1944 (6 paintings by the artist were exhibited). He took an active part in the first post-war art exhibitions in Mariupol.

In the foreground there is a river. In the center there are fishing boats, boats with fishermen; the shore with a group of one-story houses, a road along which a horse is riding, harnessed to a cart. In the cart there are three figures. In the background there is the sea, a wide strip of yellow sky.
