Oleksandr Petrovych Potypun was a Ukrainian artist. Born in 1901, he worked as an artist from the 1930s to the 1960s in the Mariupol Museum of Local Lore, creating new museum exhibitions and many paintings on the history of Mariupol. His creative output includes landscapes, as well as industrial landscapes that reflected construction in Mariupol. He was a participant in the art exhibition held by the newspaper "Pravda" in Mariupol in 1944 (6 paintings by the artist were exhibited). He took an active part in the first post-war art exhibitions in Mariupol.
