Hryhorii Saveliiovych Moskovchenko was a Soviet painter and teacher. He was born on February 25, 1916 in the village of Karatysh, Mariupol district, Ekaterinoslav region (now the village of Starodubivka, Mangush district, Donetsk region). In 1951, he graduated from the Surikov Moscow Art Institute. He was an Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1982) and a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Moskovchenko participated in exhibitions starting in 1951. He lived and worked in Moscow and died on April 5, 1995.
